College students to perform "Flowers in May" in Beijing

As college students across China get ready to celebrate Youth Day, this year’s festivities will include "Flowers in May", a student performance scheduled to open Saturday Night here in Beijing.

Ethnic dancing is a highlight of this year’s Flowers in May gala. These girls come from southwest China’s Sichuan Province. Many of them are Yi minority people, known for its ethnic folk dancing, which they are practising here. The girls say their clothes are what really sets them apart.
