Taiwan stocks close 0.86% higher

HONG KONG, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Taiwan's share prices closed higher on Thursday with the weighted index rising 66.90 points, or 0.86 percent, to 7,757.09 according to news reaching here from Taipei.

The local bourse fluctuated between 7,757.09 and 7,699.41 during the day's trading. Turnover totaled 104.44 billion new Taiwan dollars (about 3.59 billion U.S. dollars) during the trading session.
