MOSCOW, June 2 (Xinhua) -- A pilot was killed when his plane crashed Sunday in an air show near Moscow, local police department said.
"A light plane undershot the runway and crashed near the Bolshoye Gryzlovo airfield in the Serpukhov district of the Moscow region. The pilot was killed," the Interfax news agency quoted a police spokesman as saying.
It was not immediately known whether anyone else was injured or killed, he said, adding the cause of the fall was yet to be found.
An emergencies services source earlier told Interfax that a sport plane crashed and broke apart as it was near the end of a flat spin maneuver.
