Iranian president to challenge ban against aide from election: media

TEHRAN, May 22 (Xinhua) -- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Wednesday that he will take up the ban against his top aide, Esfandiar Rahim-Mashaei, from running in the upcoming presidential election with supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, semi-official ISNA news agency reported.
