TEHRAN, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi said Tehran is in favor of peaceful settlement of the Syrian crisis, semi-official Fars news agency reported Thursday.
"Tehran supports any well-intentioned move aimed at putting an end to the ongoing aggressions in Syria and restoration of peace and security in that country," Salehi said Wednesday.
The Islamic republic would spare no effort aimed at the restoration of peace and security in the Arab state, he was quoted as saying.
Salehi also said Iran would never allow "foreign prescription" for the Syrian issue.
Syria has been in unrest for over 21 months, leaving hundreds of thousands dead and injured.
