Palm Island (Dubai). Palm Island is piled up by 100 million cubic meters of rocks and sands. A total number of 210 million cubic meters of rock, sand, limestone were dug up for the re-construction of these islands, of which only the outer ring took up 10 million cubic meters of rocks. These rocks are transported over throughout the United Arab Emirates from 16 quarries, and these materials may be sufficient to build a fence around the earth three times.
