| Taj Mahal (India Angela). There are as many as 28 different kinds of semi-precious and precious stones used in Taj Mahal for decoration. It took 20 years to build the Taj Mahal, which was started in 1632 and ended in 1653. The architecture is built out of white marble from quarries of Rajasthan. In the morning it is pink, and becomes white in daylight and shines as gold in moonlight. It is symmetric from any direction. This tomb was to commemorate the most beloved princess of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. (Source: people.com.cn) |
