Alps Ski Resort: Shenzhen, Guangdong

Recommended reason: the first large scale panoramic indoor ski slope

Located in Window of the World, Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province, Alps Ski Resort formally opened in July 2000. Covering an area of 4.3 square kilometers, it is the first indoor ski resort in China. The resort keeps a year-round indoor temperature at minus 5 degrees Celsius.

Entrance fee: 80 yuan/hour, and 64 yuan/hour for membership card holders.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday: 10:00 to 22:00; Weekends and holidays: 10:00 to 22:30
