(4) Quality industries

Centering on the objective of developing Pu'er into a strong green economic city and following the overall industrial layout, Pu'er improves policies and measures and speeds up its construction steps, with an attempt to become a modern comprehensive industrial park featuring green ecology. It sticks to the development road of agricultural industrialization and new industrialization, seeks development of supporting industries, undertakes industrial transfer in Central Yunnan Province and focuses on development of industries with a high energy value as represented by clean energy. In addition, Pu'er also aims to strengthen the four pillar industries of tea, forestry, electricity and mining and gives priority to the cultivation of the six backbone and characteristic industries of coffee, cigarette, sericulture, rubber, biological medicine and fishing and animal husbandry. Furthermore, it also endeavors to create a characteristic bio-industry base, an international tourism resort base, a leisure and regimen base and a clean energy and modern forestry base, and improve competitiveness of its industries.
