"New Voice", a film jointly produced by Israeli Embassy and the National Academy of Chinese Theater Arts, premiered in the National Academy of Chinese Theater Arts on the evening of Dec. 6.
Written and directed by Dan Wolman, a veteran Israeli film director, the movie is the result of three years’ cooperation between the Israeli director and the Chinese Academy with the assistance of the Israeli Embassy.
The film tells a story about Han, a Beijing opera singer, and his son. They are going to perform in the famous Chinese opera "Women Generals". Two weeks before the performance, Han becomes hoarse, forcing him to make a decision whether he is going to perform or not. At the critical moment, the women in Han's family rise to the occasion and take the challenge.
