Vibrant nightlife attracts visitors to S China's Guangxi

Vibrant nighttime consumption scenes, from lively night markets filled with food stalls to cultural experience activities and high-quality nighttime tourism zones, offer a glimpse into the burgeoning night economy of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

In recent years, various cities across Guangxi have vigorously enriched nighttime consumption scenarios by introducing cultural and art performances and providing high-quality services, cultivating a complete chain of business forms encompassing night shopping, dining, entertainment, performances, exhibitions, and accommodations.

As a result, the region is increasingly renowned for its beauty after dark, fascinating locals and visitors with its unique nightlife experience featuring a blend of traditional charm and modern vibrancy.

Nighttime consumption is booming in various parts of the region. As dusk settles over Guangxi, historical and cultural districts shimmer with colorful lights, illuminating a dazzling array of characteristic handicrafts; ancient towns are dotted with tourists taking photos in traditional costumes of different ethnic groups; and brightly-lit night markets are filled with the enticing aroma of local delicacies.

In particular, Langxi night market in Qingxiu district, Nanning city, Guangxi, has witnessed a 294-percent year-on-year increase in its foot traffic between Thursday and Saturday following management upgrades implemented by local authorities.

Since March 2024, Qingxiu district has been working on comprehensive improvements to the Langxi night market, standardizing operations to ensure that the bustling atmosphere doesn't disrupt local life.

Thanks to the endeavor, the revitalized market now successfully attracts and delights visitors.
