The Chinese character 好, meaning "good," consists of two parts: 女 (girl, woman, or daughter) and 子 (child or son). In Luoyang, young people have embraced wearing Hanfu, traditional Chinese attire, to express their appreciation for Chinese culture. This trend has now become popular across China.
Hanfu is a style of clothing from ancient China. The blossoming of Hanfu culture has supported over 1,000 Hanfu-related businesses in Luoyang, a city known for its historical history, particularly its Tang Dynasty heritage.
According to China Daily, Luoyang was the most popular Hanfu destination on Douyin, a popular short video platform, for six months in 2023. Hanfu stores in the city's ancient town of Luoyi attract an average of 56,000 daily visitors. Moreover, the topic "Luoyang Hanfu" has garnered an astounding 2.48 billion views on Douyin alone.
This year, Hanfu enthusiasts are flocking to Luoyang again to immerse themselves in the local culture. With various interactive performances and a lively atmosphere, the city offers a unique opportunity for visitors to don traditional Hanfu and experience local culture.

Luoyang is a city that prominently showcases the culture of the Tang Dynasty. Elements of Tang Hanfu are quite common in the city; for example, figures wearing Tang Hanfu can easily be found on road signs and restroom signs.

The city's Hanfu culture has also inspired local cultural and creative industries, becoming a new pillar of the city's economy. Many museums in Luoyang have created cultural items based on "chubby Tang ladies" from Tang artifacts and relics, and these have become very popular.
