Camellia flowers are in full bloom in a camellia cultivation demonstration base in Xishan district, Kunming city, southwest China's Yunnan Province.

83-year-old Huang Wenzhong heads the base. After he retired, he has been dedicated to researching, introducing, domesticating, and cultivating over 200 rare camellia flower varieties from around the world, totaling more than 300,000 plants. The camellia flowers he cultivates have received six gold awards at a camellia exhibition held in the World Horticultural Expo Garden in Kunming.
