Scenery of two rivers meeting at Liujiaxia Reservoir in China's Gansu Province

See the Yellow River where it is a mix of half clear and half muddy.

The Taohe River, an important tributary of the upper reaches of the Yellow River, is often turbid due to sediment collected while flowing through the Loess Plateau in western Gansu Province.

When the Taohe River converges with the Liujiaxia Reservoir in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, a strong contrast between the turbid water and the clear water occurs in the reservoir, presenting a mosaic of azure water and surging yellow sand.
