Fascinating spring scenery of Balihe scenic area in E China's Anhui

Balihe scenic area in Yingshang county, Fuyang city, east China's Anhui Province, a national 5A-rated tourist attraction boasting of an enchanting natural scenery, has entered the peak tourist season.
Tourists flock to the scenic area because of its sparkling lake covering an area of tens of thousands of mu (one mu equals approximately 667 square meters), neatly arranged small fish ponds with a combined area of several thousand mu, more than 4,000 willow trees surrounding the lake, and tens of thousands of water birds stopping over at the place during autumn and winter.
“The Balihe scenic area is currently dominated by visitors on a one-day tour. Encouraging visitors who live within a 150-kilometer radius of the scenic area to spend more time in the place is the focus of the development plan for the scenic area," said an executive of the Balihe scenic area.
The executive disclosed that efforts will be made to upgrade the scenic area to an integrated tourist resort featuring the integration of sightseeing, an interactive experience, and entertainment activities.
In particular, the scenic area will endeavor to tap into its sound ecological environment and advantage of traditional Chinese-style and Western-style buildings and gardens to promote in-depth integration of culture and tourism, according to the executive.
