Nanlei River basin covers an area of 475.61 square kilometers and runs through the whole territory of Menglian from north to south. It has nurtured Dai families living on the river bank for generations. It is known as the “Mother River” of Menglian people. The famous Fish Festival in Menglian County is held in Nanlei River.
