Wang Lijun, a 43-year-old chilly vendor, said the COVID-19 pandemic caused her great economic loss in 2020, but with the subsidies from the government, as well as favorable policies such as exemption of rent from the Xinfadi Market, her business is now back on track.
Months after the pandemic, Wang changed her company’s name to “Xinfa Dili Renhe” (新发地利人和), which means “the right place and harmony of people.” She told a reporter that Xinfadi is the right place to start her business, as its favorable policies and rigid anti-pandemic measures have eliminated the negative impact on her business, while the vendor’s joint efforts to tackle the pandemic have ensured a promising future for both the market and her own business.
“I have strong confidence that we can overcome the pandemic, and I believe in a promising future,” said Wang.
