A flight training conducted at the beginning of June by a naval aviation division of the South China Sea fleet of the People's Liberation Army caught many people's attention, as 10 self-trained pilots born after 1990 are set to conduct solo flights with the third generation of new fighters, Modern Navy reported.
As the combat power of the naval air force continues to transform, the Chinese Navy's uniquely trained new talents are a promising sign of things to come. At the beginning of the 21st century, the Chinese Navy began to cultivate combat aviators. The self-training talent system covers not only specialized colleges but also secondary schools. Flying cadets also enter the Navy after graduation.
As China's first homegrown aircraft carrier hits the water, the Chinese Navy's demand for good pilots will only grow in the future. Fortunately, it seems this demand is on track to be ably met.
