2 men arrested for counterfeit money production, claim to have learned techniques online

Xi'an's police bureau recently cracked a major counterfeit money case. The value involved in the case was more than 200,000 yuan.

According to the police, the suspects previously held formal jobs. However, in order to get more money quickly, they set about producing counterfeit bills. By studying the relevant techniques online, the two suspects printed a large quantity of banknotes in small denominations and sold them online.

Police explained that recent counterfeit cases have tended to focus on small denominations, as most people do not scrutinize small bills very carefully. Police reminded citizens to be vigilant about the authenticity of bills, and to be aware of frauds to avoid unnecessary losses.
