Churchill directed politicians from this bunker during the Second World War and dined there with his wife Clementine and close friend, information minister Brendan Bracken.
Though he disliked it - preferring to maintain a high profile as war leader - he stayed overnight when his military advisers told him it was too dangerous to return to his official residence at 10 Downing Street.
The rooms are just a third of the entire 3,000 square metre underground complex used by Churchill and his cabinet between 1940 and 1945.
And the rooms still preserve many of the day-to-day artefacts including large maps with pinpricks and Churchill's swivel chair.
