The world has fallen in love with this Russian couple, photographer Musrad Osmann, and his girlfriend, journalist Nataly Zakharova, who’ve documented their continent-spanning love affair through a series of gorgeous photos.
Now a newly-wed couple in southwestern China's Chongqing Municipality decided to shoot wedding photos wearing traditional costumes of China's 56 nationalities on their way across China. Both of the husband and wife were born after 1985 and quit their jobs for the journey.
He Tao, 26, was born in Shandong province, east China and his wife Ji Yuting was born in Jiaozuo, Henan province in central China. Three years ago, the two graduated from Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications and worked as designer and saleswoman of wedding ring.
Starting from September 25 this year, they embarked on an extraordinary wedding journey, which will last for a year. They plan to visit 80 cities and regions across China by hiking and taking free rides on the way. The couple also wants to visit the 56 ethnic groups of China and pose for 56 series of wedding photos in traditional costumes of different nationalities.
They had made sufficient preparation before setting off. Each of them packed an over 10kg backpack with a banner read "taking me to the wedding" in which there are first aid bag, sleeping bag, pot and bowls, camera and of course the wedding veil.
Why do they want a journey like that? Since 2013, the family members and relatives of the couple became ill one after another. Someone even died of cancer. During that period of time, the bad news prompted them to rethink their life.
