Beijing Wukesong Indoor Stadium will host the ice hockey competition of the 2022 Olympic Winter Games. According to the technical staff in the stadium, using the new technology, it will take only four hours to transform the basketball court into a skating rink, which uses 40 percent less energy compared with traditional ice technology.

According to Beijing News, Beijing will spend $1.51 billion on the renovation and expansion projects of the Winter Olympics-related venues, of which Wukesong hockey stadium renovation project will use the least amount of money.

The ice technology is imported from the Netherlands, using the world's most environmentally friendly aluminum materials. "The refrigeration components are hermetically sealed without sewage and pollution. The 60 dB noise can be further reduced after the adoption of the shroud," said the technical staff of the stadium.

Beijing Wukesong Indoor Stadium, covering 1,800 square meters, can accommodate 18,000 spectators at a time.
