Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe chided China's oil exploration in the East China Sea, hyping the so-called "China threat" several days ago. Abe's government hyping "China threat" cliche shows his ulterior motive. The real threat to the regional peace is that Japan wants to break through the postwar system and seek a military rise.

The oil exploration in the East China Sea is obviously in undisputed waters under the jurisdiction of China, which is a matter of China's sovereignty and jurisdiction. The approval rate for Abe's government dived due to the new security bills. People have enough reason to doubt that Abe's government is trying to play the "China threat" card to seek the passage of bills.

Actually, Japan has made up the so-called "threat" and "tension" the whole time. We can see that the Asia generally maintain the good situation of peace and stability in development. Hot issues are controllable in general. Regional cooperation is in a booming development. "China opportunity" is the real Chinese character.

Both history and reality have proved that China sticking to the path of peaceful development and pursuing a national defense policy which is defensive in nature. China is a firm power to maintain peace and stability in Asian-Pacific region, and even the whole world. The building up of China's national defense capability is justified and is completely for safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Abe's government hyping the "China threat" cliche shows his ulterior motives. The real threat to the regional peace is that Japan wants to break through the postwar system and seek military rise.

China and Japan are close neighbors connected by the same waters. If Abe's government continues to go about it alone, they will impede the improvement in China-Japan ties in politics and security. They would create an atmosphere of bilateral conflict. The final result is to sow the wind and reap the whirlwind.
