CHINA-SICHUAN-POST-EARTHQUAKE-RECONSTRUCTION (CN)

File photo taken on March 1, 2012 shows women of Qiang ethnic group embroidering in Yinxing Village of Wenchuan County, southwest China's Sichuan Province. Traditional crafts like embroidering have been well-developed after the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake. As one of the countries which suffers most from natural disasters, China has improved greatly its ability to deal with natural disasters and post-disaster reconstruction. Having witnessed a deadly earthquake of magnitude 8.0 in Wenchuan in 2008 and a 7.0 magnitude quake in Lushan in 2013, Sichuan Province has now successfully rebuilt towns shattered by natural catastrophes and provided disaster survivors with better homes.
