A successful year for the anti-corruption campaign
China has busted hundreds of corrupt officials on a daily basis through the year of 2014, according to a blue paper published by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
Last year has seen over 80 provincial-level officials and 30 plus high-level military officials investigated, marking the most harsh year of China's anti-corruption campaign.
At the same time, as the blue paper points out, authorities are also concluding their checks on "naked officials" whose spouses and children have emigrated out of China.
More than 3,200 officials in the country have reported that their family members no longer hold Chinese passports.
Almost a third has been removed from their posts after their family refused to give up overseas nationalities.
