The boy had won many awards in track and field competitions when he was at school. His dream is to become an athlete. Xiaonan has to go to the hospital for chemotherapy every month. “I want to get better as quickly as possible and play with my friends,” he said.

The family lives in a shabby brick house. Their 180,000 yuan savings was spent on the treatment. Now, the family has a debt of 400,000 yuan. Xiaonan's elder brother bought him a mobile phone to kill time.

Xiaonan hopes to recover soon and goes back to the sports field.

Xiaoyin, 5, is from Fuliang county of Jingdezhen city, east China's Jiangxi province. She suffers from acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The little girl is currently in hospital due to a high fever caused by lung infection. Her disease is gradually stabilized, and she will take drug treatment afterwards.

Xiaoyin's father is a teacher, with a monthly salary of 3,000 yuan. It's the family's only source of income.

Xiaodan

She was found suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukemia when she was about to graduate from the primary school. This seven-member family is mainly supported by her parents who work away from home. Xiaodan likes reading and wants to be a writer. However, she is more eager to grow up and work to pay for the debt.

Xiaodan's grandfather told a volunteer from Chinese Red Cross Foundation that the family has a debt of 400,000 yuan. The family needs more money because Xiaodan has to take chemotherapy eight times in the next two years.
