KALIBO, Philippines, Dec. 30-- An AirAsia jet which arrived here from Manila overshot the runway of the Kalibo International Airport in Philippines on Tuesday evening.

The plane came from Manila carrying undisclosed number of passengers, according to the initial report of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP-Kalibo)

"The passengers were immediately transported into a nearby hotel. They were all safe," said Cynthia Asperas, the CAAP-Kalibo chief.

Investigations have been underway over the incident.
