The medical team of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), consisting of 30 people from the 302 Military Hospital of the PLA, left Beijing for Sierra Leone via a special airplane on September 16, 2014, with the mission of treating Ebola patients.
This is the first medical team the PLA has sent to fight Ebola overseas. The 302 Military Hospital is China's largest infectious disease hospital and the only infectious disease hospital of the PLA.
