BEIJING, May 30 -- A senior leader of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Friday called on Party officials to improve their work style and tackle problems that concern the public's interests.
Liu Yunshan, a Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, urged officials to deepen the implementation of the ongoing "mass line" campaign.
Launched in June 2013, the campaign is aimed at making government more accessible to the public, while cleaning up undesirable work styles -- formalism, bureaucracy, hedonism and extravagance.
Liu called on Party officials to improve their professional ethics and provide better service in order to win satisfaction from the people.
They should have acute awareness of problems and resolve to tackle them, he said.
