Growing on mother's back

"Dear mum, I have been suffering from a spinal tumor since my birth. I cannot stand and walk, and I even need your assistance when I go to toilet every time; I have grown up in your arms and on your back. Now your hair has become gray and your health is getting worse. Mum, for your health, please put me down," a girl says in a letter to her mother.

Feng Huan, 13, lives in a village in east China's Jiangxi province. There was a tumor on her spine when she was born. She cannot walk because the tumor compresses her vertebra nerves. In 13 year, she has grown up in her mother's arms and on her back. She hopes she can learn to walk. Feng's mother also suffers from several illnesses. Her waist hurts when carrying Feng Huan on back, but she said: "I will persist carrying her to go to school until I cannot move anymore."
