BEIJING, May 12 -- Vice President Li Yuanchao met here Monday with Faris Abouhamad, president of the International Advertising Association(IAA).

Abouhamad attended the 43rd IAA World Congress in Beijing from May 8 to 11.

Li said having the IAA World Congress in China promoted communication and cooperation in the advertising industry between China and the world.

China is deepening its reform and opening wider, and the country's development provides opportunities for the world, Li said.

China welcomes the world advertising industry to take part in its advertising industry development, so as to make contributions to world economic development and cultural exchange, according to Li.

Abouhamad thanked China for its supports to the successful congress, and pledged to boost exchanges and cooperation between the Chinese and world advertising industry.
