BEIJING, Jan. 22 -- Senior diplomats from China and the United States on Wednesday discussed the Asia-Pacific situation and each country's policy on this region.
China's Assistant Foreign Minister Zhen Zeguang and Daniel Russel, assistant secretary of state for East Asian and Pacific affairs, co-chaired the fifth China-U.S. Consultations on Asia-Pacific Issues in Beijing.
After the consultations, the two countries released a list of areas in which they would aim to cooperate in Asia. It included items ranging from disaster relief and food security to public health and customs.
