On February 12, a bunch of special gifts were delivered to the home of Wu Conghan, a 103-year-old man, and then he presented it to his 105-year-old wife Wu Songshi.
The couple lives in a village in Nanbu county, southwestern China's Sichuan province.
Wu said his wife told him at his 103-year-old birthday party not long ago, "Congratulation! But compared to me, you are younger, so keep moving". When making a wish, Wu hit on an idea that he would send a special gift to his wife to express his love.
On February 12, his wife received the bunch of vegetable-made flowers, including spinaches, green vegetables, broccolis, carrots, oranges and 90 peas. Spinaches mean deep love; green vegetables mean evergreen love; little red oranges mean sweet love; carrots mean prospers life and 90 peas mean the 90th anniversary of their marriage, according to Liu Yuqiong, who designed the gift for the couple.
"People will grow old but love will get more shiny. For my parents, loving each other is the secret of longevity", said the Wu's daughter.
