Ningxia becoming frontline in China's opening-up

BEIJING, Nov. 20 (Xinhuanet) -- The Yinchuan Bonded Area was officially approved by ten national departments and formally went in operation, on Sept. 10.

This means that the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has become a opening-up frontline, by building up a new platform for implementing China's "Towards West" strategy.

The Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is an inland region without much advantages in economy and geography. Therefore, the new mission of making Ningxia the Inland Opening-up Pilot Economic Zone is both an opportunity and a challenge.

"Inland region opening-up is China's strategic plan and the new mission for Ningxia. We have to embrace both opportunities and challenges, and explore our new path," said Yuan Jiajun, leader of the region.

The Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has been using its creativity, looking for supportive policies in different fields from various government departments, including trade, service section and investment.

In the meantime, the China-Arab States Expo has linked China with 56 countries and regions, placing Ningxia in the meanwhile in a better position in trading and communicating.

The developing speed of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is another impressive aspect: new projects are planned in the Ningxia Inland Opening-up Pilot Economic Zone; the Yinchuan Bonded Area is completely finished in one year; companies from United States, Australia and so on have already made their investments.

The Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, as an Inland Opening-up Pilot Economic Zone, is showing its energy and confidence to the world.
