HAIKOU, June 9 (Xinhua) -- A school principal and a local government employee, who allegedly spent a night with primary school girls in hotels in south China's Hainan Province, have been prosecuted for rape, a court said on Sunday.
The People's Procuratorate of Hainan Province prosecuted Chen Zaipeng, who has been sacked from his post as principal of Wanning No. 2 Primary School, and Feng Xiaosong, a clerk at the city's property administration bureau, for raping girls.
The No.1 Intermediate People's Court of Hainan Province has accepted the case.
The two men were arrested in May on suspicion of molesting children. Chen is alleged to have taken four girls to a hotel while Feng is accused of taking two girls to another hotel on the evening of May 8, according to local police.
The girls are all in the sixth grade and aged between 11 and 14, with five from the Wanning Houlang Primary School and one from the Wanning Siyuan Experimental School.
