TAIPEI, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- Taiwan's unemployment rate in January dropped by 0.02 percentage points compared to December last year, marking the lowest rate since last June, according to figures released on Tuesday by Taiwan's statistical authorities.
The unemployment rate for January stood at 4.16 percent, also 0.02 percentage points less compared to the same period last year. The unemployment rate was 4.2 percent after seasonal adjustments.
The total number of employed people hit 10.93 million in January, 4,000 more than December, while the number of unemployed people stood at 475,000, 2,000 less than December.
