CMC leaders participate in thematic meetings of democratic life in PLA major units

BEIJING, October 17 (ChinaMil) -- Fan Changlong, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the CPC, Xu Qiliang, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the CMC of the CPC, Chang Wanquan, member of the CMC, state councilor and minister of the Ministry of National Defense (MND) of the People's Republic of China (PRC), as well as Fang Fenghui, Zhang Yang, Zhao Keshi, Zhang Youxia, Wu Shengli, Ma Xiaotian and Wei Fenghe, members of the CMC, recently went to various major units of the PLA, participated in the thematic meetings of democratic life attended by members of the standing committees of the CPC committees of various major units of the PLA and gave on-site instructions to investigate and reveal the problems of "four malpractices", namely, formalism, bureaucratism, hedonism and extravagance, according to the deployment and arrangement of the CPC Central Committee and the CMC to carry out CPC’s mass line education campaign.

CMC Chairman Xi Jinping pays great attention to these thematic meetings of democratic life. He went deep into troop units under the Beijing Military Area Command (MAC), the Shenyang MAC and the Navy of the PLA for inspections and guidance, and made a series of important instructions.

The CMC leaders respectively participated in the thematic meetings of democratic life attended by members of the standing committees of the CPC committees in 11 major units, reviewed the self-check materials prepared by principal leaders of the major units, talked individually with each member of the leading team and urged them to solve the problems.

In addition, a total of 14 working teams were dispatched for entirely tracking, supervising and instructing to solve the problems found in the mass line education campaigns.
