BEIJING, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- A senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official on Monday met with a delegation of the South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO) headed by the party's General Secretary Nangolo Mbumba.

Li Yuanchao, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, spoke positively of bilateral ties, as well as the two parties' relationship.

He said the exchange of experience in governance is an important part of party-to-party cooperation and has played an important role in national development and party construction for both sides.

China values its friendship with Namibia and is willing to work with Namibia to develop cooperation in multiple fields, he added.

Mbumba thanked China for its support and help for Namibia's national liberation and development.

He said the SWAPO wants to learn from the CPC's experience in governance and boost communication and cooperation between the two parties.
