Brazil now is in the midst of China Cultural Month. The country's largest city, Sao Paulo, is currently hosting several events as part of the initiative.
A night of Chinese art. Chinese dancers perform the ballet "Raymonda" and "Concerto de Bach" at the fully packed Saint Peter's theatre in Sao Paulo.
Besides the western classic repertoires, Chinese traditional folk dance "Jasmine Flower" is also staged.
More than 150 artists from China will present the local audience with a series of cultural feasts such as ballet acrobatics and art exhibitions.
"China and Brazil have a new highlight now in cultural exchange, whereas before the economic and technological fields ruled. Brazilian people are very interested in Chinese culture," said Zhu Qingqiao, Chinese embassy in Brazil.
In September, Brazil organized cultural events in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Now, with China Cultural Month touring to Brazil's main cities until December, the favour is being repaid.
