A man in the costume of Tang Ming Huang (also known as Emperor Xuanzong) and a woman in the costume of Yang Guifei, who was the beloved consort of Emperor Xuanzong and was one of the Four Beauties of ancient China, attend a ceremony for celebrating the Flouring Period of the Tang Dynasty (618-907) in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, May 1, 2013. The Flourishing Period, spanning from the Zhenguan Era (627-649) to the Tianbao Era (742-756), was the heyday of the Tang Dynasty as well as one of the most prosperous periods in China’s feudal history.
