South African Paralympic champion Oscar Pistorius, known as the "Blade Runner", was charged with shooting his girlfriend. The case is still surrounded with mystery. However, the two major sponsors of the "Blade Runner", Oakley Glasses and Nike, have announced to terminate cooperation with him, saying there will be nothing associated with him any more in their advertisements.
Sports idols are influential. Their touching and inspirational stories have positive impacts on the development of young people.
