KAMPALA, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- Uganda's Sharif Bukenya will on Saturday fight European champion from Finland, Jarkko Jussila, in a World Kickboxing Federation (WKF) Intercontinental welterweight fight.
Bukenya told Xinhua on Thursday that he is ready to take down his European opponent.
"I am very ready for my opponent and am not bothered if he is a European champion," said Bukenya who added that he will not disappoint his fans.
Jussila said that he will give the Ugandan no chance before he knocks him out.
"We shall see who is the king of the ring," said a confident looking Jussila.
WKF Executive Director Friedrich Exenberger is also in the country to supervise the contest.
"His presence will go a long way in ensuring that the fight is up to WKF standards," said Uganda Kickboxing Federation's Eddy Gombya.
The 10 round full contact fight will be staged in Najjanankumbi on the outskirts of the capital Kampala.
Jussila, who hails from Finland, has 10 wins and three losses while Bukenya has won all his five fights.
One of the undercards will have another fighter from Finland Seifulia Shamil taking on Uganda's Abu Kikenwa in a five round contest.
