Chinese shares close higher Thursday

BEIJING, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Chinese shares closed higher Thursday, as the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index increased 2.26 percent, or 52.37 points, to end at 2,365.59.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 3.3 percent, or 308.20 points, to 9,641.44.
