EU: No need to panic over horsemeat scandal

EU’s top health official--Health and Consumer Affairs Commissioner Tonio Borg told reporters in Athens on Friday, there was no need to panic over an Europe-wide horsemeat scandal, saying it was labelling misconduct rather than a health issue.

Also on Friday, food safety experts from the 27 members of the European Union gathered in Brussels to discuss large-scale DNA testing of beef products.
