KUALA LUMPUR, May 8 -- Malaysian budget airline AirAsia announced recently in a statement that all of AirAsia’s flights will be moving to Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA 2) by Friday.
The area of the KLIA 2 is much lager than the existing airport, so all the passengers are advised to arrive a minimum of three hours before departure, ensuring that there is ample time to check-in, the statement read.
The AirAsia said it will strictly implement“One piece of baggage policy” and encourage guests to self-print boarding pass online.Web check is available for all flights from 14 days up to 1 hour before departure for AirAsia flights and up to 4 hours for AirAsia X flights.
AirAsia has a fleet of more than 70 aircraft, and operates more than 400 daily flights.Its passenger volume in 2013 was more than 22 million, and the target for 2014 is 24 million.
