BEIJING, June 18 (Xinhuanet) -- US President Barack Obama has defended two top secret National Security Agency spying programs as legal in an interview to US network PBS. Obama has said that the programs are transparent and have oversight.
The president said that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act had authorized two recently leaked programs: one that gathers US phone records, and another that is designed to track the use of US-based Internet servers by foreigners with possible links to terrorism.
