Britain's Hague says he agrees with U.S. assessment on chemical weapons use in Syria

LONDON, June 14 (Xinhua) -- British Foreign Secretary William Hague said on Friday he agreed with a U.S. assessment that chemical weapons had been used in Syria.

The White House concluded in a statement Thursday that the Syrian government had used chemical weapons against rebels, a major move that signals deeper U.S. involvement in the Syrian conflict.
