HOUSTON, April 25 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President Barack Obama joined all his living predecessors Thursday morning to dedicate the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
"Welcome everyone," former First Lady Laura Bush greeted the crowd. "Welcome to all of our friends and family who joined us today."
The library is not only about a president but also about the country, she said.
In addition to Obama, former Presidents Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and senior George Bush also attended the ceremony that was broadcast live.
Joining them were a collection of former foreign leaders like Tony Blair of Britain, Ehud Olmert of Israel, Silvio Berlusconi of Italy and John Howard of Australia as well as hundreds of former Bush administration officials.
The George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum is the 13th and newest president library in the country.
