Strict curfew held to stop protest in Indian-controlled Kashmir

Indian paramilitary soldiers patrol during a curfew in Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir, Feb. 15, 2013. Authorities have imposed strict curfew and restriction to stop a protest march by Kashmiri separatist group Hurriyat (Freedom) Conference. Hurriyat (Freedom) Conference had given a call for march against Kashmiri leader Afzal Guru's hanging. Afzal Guru was hanged on February 9, 2013 for an attack on the Indian parliament in 2001, which killed nine people. (Xinhua/Javed Dar)
