TOKYO, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- A Boeing 787 dreamliner operated by All Nippon Airways Co. made emergency landing Wednesday morning at southweast Japan's Takamatsu Airport, local media reported.
The landing was made around 8:45 a.m. after smoke emitted inside the aircraft, Kyodo cited firefighters. The plane took off from Yamaguchi Ube Airport earlier in the day, and was heading for Tokyo.
All people on board the plane were safe. The emergency landing was made because pilot detected battery problems soon after takeoff, according to media reports.
